Sims 2 Downloads. Searching for 'terrain'. We have detected that you are using an Ad-blocker plugin. This means our main source of income to cover bandwidth costs.
- You can create your own maps using Sim City 4 and import them into TS2. If you don't have SC4, then you have to go searching for a download or request a map from someone who makes them. Check out MTS and other sites, often map creators will take requests, so find someone whose work you like and ask them to hook you up with a custom map.
Otherwise, there's a cheat - modifyNeighborhoodTerrain on - that will allow you to modify the terrain of your hood. You can use it in combination with something like this - http://modthesims.info/d/324731 - which will allow you to build fake roads. If you want to get really fancy, there's also this tool - http://modthesims.info/d/384656 - which will let you move lots anywhere on the map without needing a road to place them against.
Good luck. World building is a blast in TS2 with the right tools and you can do just about anything you can imagine with a little fiddling around and the right deco sets - Origin ID: meggiewes

My Sim Creations and Recreations Showcase - Ooh! Thank you!
I'll leave these here as well...
http://modthesims.info/d/265020 - this mod allows you to place neighborhood items in/over lots. It's especially helpful if you are trying to build a wooded area and want to use the neighborhood trees, but it's useful for so many other things. This is an essential mod in my opinion.
http://322cdb.livejournal.com/69509.html - these are the world hood objects from TS3 that have been converted. If you google 'ts2 hood deco', you will find much more. There is deco for just about every hood type you can imagine at this point - themed or regular. - thanks @seamoan i will definitely be checking out these mods. my only cc right now is the custom clothing i have created. when i move further into the game i will explore further because i am interested in building a new town. just not right now so thanks again for the future reference.free the sims!

No problem. - For future reference, where are the pictures stored in the game documents again? I'll probably be fiddling with this over the weekend and I'll probably want to take pictures, but I don't like playing in windowed mode to do the PrtScrn screenshot technique.Origin ID: meggiewes

your pics are found in the neighborhoods > storytelling folder. ex: if youre playing bella donna its the first neighborhood. the snapshots are not in any order. just scroll until you find yours. i deleted the game snapshots to make mine easier to find. For future reference, where are the pictures stored in the game documents again? - Ahh...thank you! I have downloaded them all. They look really great!
- Awesome! I'll make sure to download them once I'm on my desktop.2
- Thank you so much! I am always on the lookout for new sc4 terrains! I like to make my hoods interesting. The apocalypse one looks good for a simple downtown actually.
- Nice! Is the Lonely Highway map containing some water? I seem to have an annoying bug with viewing water in my Sims 2 (I think it was after I installed the Ultimate Collection), so I prefer not to play a world that has water (Which is - only Aridia and Viper Canyon. ).
Also, editing Sims 2 maps is only available if you have a certain Sim-City game I suppose? - Woot! Thanks for all the comments.Nice! Is the Lonely Highway map containing some water? Hi
I'm not sure if it's the one with a small lake in the corner or not...
There's a way to fix the water- http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=479610
Here's an easy way to fix it for newer graphics cards - http://www.simsnetwork.com/node/4208 (I've used it)
There is a cheat code to edit maps in game- modifyneighborhoodterrain on
Use the ] [ keys to flatten/lower/raise the land.

SimCity 4 lets us make maps for TS2. - I have actually used the modify neighborhood terrain cheat to get rid of a small pond of water in one of my saves. Just flattened it out and erased it completely.
- edited February 2015I wanted to quote you but it doesn't seem to work well. :(

It's the world with the railroad in it :)
Thank you for your help, I should try doing these things.
And, for someone who doesn't have any SimCity (Except the free, old one that Origin gave for free), it's nice to hear there's a cheat like that :-D - Awesome! I like Barbarry Valley the best! Lots of space for lots of houses and sims! :)Origin ID: Razingmon

- Thanks so much for these! I'm cleaning up my downloads (again ) and restarting and these will come in very handy.
- Hey @Rflong7 - Love your Central City map/'hood, is there anyway you could do a TS2 Raccoon City flat neighborhood map? Been looking/searching for one and i do have SimCity4 Deluxw but can't install/run it on my current PC or i'd do it my self, if not its cool. I still like your 'hood maps and snagged them. Thanks!1

I could try, but you know what? If I were you I'd contact EA Customer Support down at the bottom of the page (is a link), tell them you can't get your game to install. They have it on Origin and should give it to you to run (I don't know if you need your code but since you have it to install). - Looks great! Whenever I try to make a Sims 2 map, I always mess up something.2
